简介：警方為應付未確認生命體而開發了G3系統，這套G3系統是根據未確認生命體4號即幪面超人古迦的力量而設計出來，裝著員是一位叫冰川誠的警員，為人真誠但略為粗獷。警方另一部門在荒島上發現了古代文明，並進行解碼。當未確認生命體再次出現，連G3也不是其對手時，神秘的金色幪面超人亞極陀登場，這個幪面超人是一位失憶的青年津上翔一變身，起初因未能控制而襲擊G3。翔一暫住在美杉義彥的家，認識了擁有超能力的風谷真魚，真魚更幫助翔一四出尋找他失去的記憶，並遇上葦原涼。涼在父親的遺物中，發現一本記事薄，當中提及之姓名卻無人知曉，查探父親死因後，竟發現自己是另一個幪面超人－磯烙使。磯烙使是不完整的亞極陀，所以當涼變身磯烙使後會出現後遺証。有次他相當危險，幸得因超古代文明遺傳因子而誕生的青年所救。之後出現的未確認生命體也相繼被翔一，涼以及誠所打敗。後來，涼誤會女朋友是被亞極陀所殺，造成磯烙使與亞極陀對峙的局面。又因亞極陀多次拯救G3，G3加入戰團對付磯烙使。可惜G3聯手亞極陀未敵磯烙使，警方有見及此更厲害的武器－G3-X。在G3-X和亞極陀合作下，未確認生命體雖然愈來愈厲害，但也被擊倒。第三個幪面超人是由木野薰變身，他雖然會優先對付未確認生命體，但亦會對付磯烙使和亞極陀，因他認為世上有他就夠了。後來他被強化了的磯烙使所敗，又被涼所救而作出改變。原來謎的青年是遠古使用闇力量的創造主，他今次派出水的精靈對付三個幪面超人及G3，起初四人不敵，但翔一打破恐懼，令亞極陀的力量再上一層，再合四人之力，將他打敗。在警方和真魚的調查下發現翔一的姐姐木雪菜也曾經變成亞極陀，而其他擁有超能力的人最終也會變成亞極陀，真魚更發現她的父親的死和亞極陀有關而疏離翔一。這時闇的創造主親自出擊，要收回翔一等的力量。更決定殺盡所有人類，以免有更多的亞極陀誕生。他派出風、地、水三精靈，翔一、涼和誠的最後一戰在此展開。
